Nozomi Sugita was a teenager who happened to be transported to Psyren with his calling card.
Appearance
Sugita has light colored hair which he wears under a dark colored cap that has a white circle on it. He wears a business style suit and is usually seen chewing gum and blowing bubbles.
Personality
Sugita is a pretty snarky but caring kid. He usually makes insulting comments about people going in over there heads or do stupid things. He also laughed at Ageha when he tried to mention the Tavoo and their dangers. When he was dying, however, he told Ageha do give the calling card to his mother so she could make a little money, which show how much he values family.
Synopsis
First Call Arc
Sugita, along with many other people, were sent to Psyren at the same time as Ageha, Amamiya, and Asaga. They sat in a rundown building for a while where a broken phone was before initiating a plan to investigate a noise which happens to be coming from the Danger Zone. Once the group, minus Ageha, Amamiya, and Asaga, arrives, the huminoid Tavoo, Alfred, appears and kills everyone except Sugita and Koji Semitani. Sugita is left badly wounded from an arrow to the back, but Ageha finds him and tries to save him. Sugita tells Ageha to give the calling card to his mother if he dies so she can make ends meet. Suddenly, an insect-like Tavoo attacks the two. Ageha manages to kill it, but Sugita dies and disintegrates along with his card. Ageha then feels guilty over letting him die and not being able to complete his wish.
Trivia
- Though he may have only appeared in four chapters and is a minor character, Toshiaki Iwashiro still drew concept art of him, which is quite rare.
